Private and Community-sTyle acupuncture
What is Acupuncture, why should I consider it, and how does it work?
Acupuncture is a centuries-old Chinese medical therapy that utilizes the insertion of fine needles at specific points on the body, as well as other tools and techniques, to stimulate the body's self-healing capacity. Acupuncture recognizes the bioenergetic circulation of qi (the circulation along meridian lines) as essential to health. Additional aspects of acupuncture treatment at Sustainable Health & Wellness may include dietary therapy, moxibustion, cupping and gua sha.
Commonly treated complaints
Acupuncture treatment is most commonly used to treat musculoskeletal pain but is also helpful for almost any complaint that would bring one to a healthcare provider. Commonly treated issues include; Irritable Bowel Syndrome, sciatic nerve pain, headaches, stress and anxiety, acid reflux, asthma, sinus problems, gynecological problems, and chronic pain.

Community acupuncture clinic
The offering of Community Acupuncture is a growing trend in the American world of Traditional Oriental Medicine. A community clinic mirrors the environment of clinics in China, in that many patients are treated in the same room. This allows the acupuncturist to treat many patients each hour and makes treatment very affordable. Affordable treatment is effective treatment because patients can receive treatment as often as they need to have successful outcomes. Please call ahead to reserve an appointment.
