COMMUNITY NATUROPATHIC CLINIC ~ Begins November 22nd, 2013!
Dr. Lapointe is excited to announce the availability of low-cost naturopathic office visits with the inception of a "Naturopathic Community-service Medical Clinic”. The clinic was created for poverty level* patients without medical insurance, or those whose insurance specifically excludes naturopathic medicine. At $50, the visit cost is around the cost of a typical insurance specialist copay. Although the Community Clinic is currently "on hold" until Spring 2015, Dr. Dana plans to again serve the local community with monthly walk-in clinics.
These 15 minute mini-ND-visits are designed to hone in on optimizing health around a single health issue during that time. Sessions focus on finding the root-cause of the patient's health issue; they can also be a great way to obtain a quick consult, a screening physical, or receive a naturopathic "Second Opinion" to a previous diagnosis or an adjunct protocol to a conventional treatment plan. Whenever possible, treatments utilize economical health solutions such as lifestyle changes, homeopathic medicines and herbal teas.
* Dr Dana’s Community Naturopathic Medical Clinic was created expressly to support our community members who are at or below poverty level, and who would not otherwise have access to Naturopathic medical care from any other source. Since it is supported by our community members on that basis, she asks that you carefully self-select according to this same criteria. (For your reference, click these US Government 2013 Poverty Guidelines, or ask for them at our front desk.) If you think you know of someone who could benefit from this resource, please refer them to this page; if you would also like to make a contribution to support this effort, please inquire at the front desk. Thank you kindly!
Call the center at 860-217-1171 for details or to make an appointment.
Walk-ins are also welcome up to 45 minutes before the close of that day's community clinic.
